Thomas lucked into his plum job as a Contracts Attorney in the Smarty wonderland because someone at Smarty knew someone who also worked with Thomas at a legal tech company, and that person said Thomas was great. It also helped that Thomas brought three-and-a-half years of experience working for tech companies focused on making contract reviews better, faster, and cheaper through AI and that he has over two decades of experience working for companies as a lawyer.

Thomas is a divorced solo parent of seven children. Parenting, not the law, has been Thomas’s greatest calling in life.
