Ben comes to us with several years of full-stack development experience in Java, JavaScript, Ruby on Rails, NodeJS, GO, and more. He also has a passion for cybersecurity. His love for software engineering is tied to his love of building systems and solving puzzles (think word puzzles, "escape the room" or "exit" games, and logic puzzles... not jigsaw). When he's not coding, Ben loves to be outdoors and would work from the top of a mountain if he could find a long enough extension cord. He also loves movies, games, and his increasingly chaotic family. His kindness, attention to detail, ambition, extensive coding knowledge, and unique way of approaching difficult tasks make him one of Smarty's secret weapons.
