Provo, UT - Smarty, a leader in location data intelligence, is pleased to announce entering into name, image, and likeness (NIL) agreements with all female student-athletes at BYU that could surpass $2,000,000 in benefits paid to the athletes.

At a special event held on Tuesday, September 21, Jonathan Oliver, Founder and CEO of Smarty, extended this opportunity to all student-athletes on BYU female sports teams.

This is the first opportunity presented to all female student-athletes since the NCAA rules changes went into effect in July. The recent changes allow college athletes to receive compensation for endorsements for the first time in the modern era.

Under the agreement with Smarty, each female student-athlete will be compensated up to $6,000 for sharing about Smarty on their social media accounts and participating in various company events and activities. With more than 300 female athletes at BYU, the total compensation could surpass $2 million.

In addition to the NIL agreements with student-athletes, Smarty is also donating facility and equipment upgrades to BYU female athletes.

“The dedication, commitment and hard work of these strong female athletes is often not as visible,“ said Oliver. “We are excited to provide an additional spotlight on these athletes to create opportunities for them to build their personal and professional brands.”

“We are happy to see Smarty take the lead in supporting the success of these incredible student-athletes,” said Tom Holmoe, Athletic Director at BYU.

You finally track down an essential addition to your collector’s set of [insert item of your choice], and you're hyped to buy it until the chaos begins. The cart is hidden in a fly-out on the side, cluttered with blocky, overwhelming text. You spend way too long just trying to find the "Proceed to Checkout" button. 👎 That’s bad UI (user interface): messy, confusing design that makes navigation a chore. You make it to the checkout and start entering your info, but the site keeps rejecting your address.

Take charge of your API usage with Smarty’s key management features

Ever wondered, “Where did all my lookups go?!” Without proper API management, you may burn through your lookups quicker, experience runaway code, and encounter unexpected usage. That’s why Smarty created usage by key (included in all annual plans) and limit by key (included in some plans; you can add them by contacting sales) for its APIs. Why key management mattersCommon API usage challenges (problems to solve):Unexpected spikes in lookupsDifficulty tracking specific key usageWhich keys are calling which Smarty licenseNeed for better control over API consumptionDifficulty allocating Smarty lookups across an organizationWith Smarty's key management features, you gain more control by having better visibility of your usage, eliminating the element of surprise (you know, the bad kind, like when you’re suddenly out of lookups).
